Bamboo's most esteemed characteristic is its natural sustainability. It requires no fertilisers or pesticides for its cultivation. Bamboo grows rapidly and profusely without depleting the soil. Bamboo's inherent characteristics make it naturally hypoallergenic and moisture wicking and its anti-bacterial qualities repel odor and toxins. Best of all it feels amazing to wear again and again. One of the most sprayed plants with harmful pesticides is commercially grown cotton. ZIZ Wear uses Organic Certified Chemical Free Cotton to help support our health and environment. Our colored shirts are hand dyed naturally with locally Eco friendly dyes made from local plants grown in Bali, including Indigo, Mango Leaves, Tropical Almond Leaves and Secang Wood.
ZIZ was born out of Artist Zak Human's fascination with sacred geometry and his dedication to sharing living a holistic lifestyle from the inside out. Having spent years of traveling, educating himself and working within the holistic natural health community, Zak began to realize that for a clean healthy high vibe lifestyle, in addition to the awareness of what we eat and put in our bodies, it is also important what we out put on our bodies. Inspired by his years of graphic design and motion graphic collaborations with The Template - a system of using sacred geometry, to realign oneself with their true nature (www.thetemplate.org) , Zak's recent designs have evolved into ZIZ (zizwear.com) : conscious inspired Organic Cotton and Organic Bamboo clothing that looks and feels great, is environmentally friendly and is encoded with original geometric and sacred mystical designs. ZIZ Wear is based on the magical island of Bali, where there is much inspiration of the artistic cultural traditions of Asia to create visionary and Eco-friendly offerings. After much experimental trial and error, Zak finally came upon the process of infusing organic cotton and bamboo fibers with natural plant based dyes produced from locally grown plants in Bali. The Shirts are Hand tailored, Hand Screened and Hand dyed. We hope that you are inspired and uplifted by these creations.
